DATA YOU PROVIDE TO US

Account Data :- In order to use certain features (like accessing content), you need to create a user account which requires us to collect and store your email address, password, and account settings. To create an instructor account, we collect and store your name, email address, password, and account settings. As you use certain features on the site, you may be prompted to submit additional information including occupation, government ID information and verification photo, date of birth, race/ethnicity, skill interests, and phone number. Upon account creation, we assign you a unique identifying number.

 

Profile Data :- You can also choose to provide profile information like a photo, headline, biography, language, website link, social media profiles, country, or other data. Your Profile Data will be publicly viewable by others.

 

Data about Your Accounts on Other Services     

We may obtain certain information through your social media or other online accounts if they are connected to your Vesta Elder Care account. If you login to Vesta Elder Care via Facebook or another third-party platform or service, we ask for your permission to access certain information about that other account. For example, depending on the platform or service we may collect your name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address and location, physical location of your access devices, gender, birthday, and list of friends or contacts.

Those platforms and services make information available to us through their APIs. The information we receive depends on what information you (via your privacy settings) or the platform or service decide to give us.

If you access or use our Services through a third-party platform or service, or click on any third-party links, the collection, use, and sharing of your data will also be subject to the privacy policies and other agreements of that third party.

 

LOCATION POLICY

How Vesta Elder Care & Vesta Partner App uses rider location information (Android)

You’ll see a request prompted by your device for permission to share your location information when you sign up for Vesta Elder Care & Vesta Partner App, which includes location data collected via Bluetooth and nearby Wi-Fi signals. As a default, for the best service available the app asks you to turn on location services “Allow only while using the app.” We use location data to find drivers that are near you and help them navigate to your pickup spot. We also use it to display Booking history in your Booking History, to understand and resolve support tickets, to troubleshoot and solve software bugs.

 

If you’re using an Android device, you have 3 location settings to choose from:

– Allow all the time: We may collect location information at any time, even when you’re not actively using theVestaElder Care App& Vesta Partner App. If a service needs “Allow all the time” we’ll ask for your permission when you enable the service.

– Allow only while using the app: We may collect location information when the app is visible on your screen or when you have requested a Vesta Elder Care & Vesta Partner App services. You’ll get a persistent notification in your Android notification panel if location is being collected in the background when you are in the “While using the app” setting.

– Deny: This option disables location services for theVestaElder Care app& Vesta Partner App. You can still use the app, but you’ll need a services from Vesta Elder Care & Vesta Partner App to get the locations manually. Location information will be collected from the Vesta Elder Care app & Vesta Partner App during your app in use and linked to your account, even if you have disabled location services for your app.

You can always manage your location settings in your device’s location preferences.

 

Sharing with Cities and Governments

In some instances, we’re required to share information about the service picked by you and taken our service with cities, governments and local transportation authorities.

To meet these requirements, we collect geolocation and timestamp data from the devices, on our platform.

This data provides cities with information on where each trip starts, stops and the route taken on the trip. None of the services data we provide to cities is collected from your personal mobile device or directly identifies you.

We treat your location information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

 

How Vesta Elder Care uses location information (iOS)

You’ll see a request prompted by your device for permission to share your location information when you sign up for Vesta Elder  Care, which includes location data collected via Bluetooth and nearby Wi-Fi signals. As a default, for the best service available the app asks you to turn on location services “while using the app” using “precise location.” We use location data to find Vesta Elder  Care Services that are near you and help them navigate to your pickup spot. We also use it to display Booking history in your Booking History, to understand and resolve support tickets, to troubleshoot and solve software bugs.

If you’re using an iOS device, you have 4 location settings to choose from:

– Always: We may collect location information at any time, even when you’re not actively using the Vesta Elder  Care app. If a service needs “Always” we’ll ask for your permission when you enable the service.

– While using the app: We may collect location information when the app is visible on your screen or when you have requested Vesta Services. You’ll get an iOS notification on screen if location is being collected in the background when you are in the “While Using” setting.

– Never: This option disables location services for the Vesta Elder  Care app. You can still use the app, but you’ll need a services from Vesta Elder  Care to get the locations manually. Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled location services for your app.

– Precise Location: This option disables precision location services for the Vesta Elder  Care app. When off, you can still use the app, but you’ll need a services from Vesta Elder  Care to get the locations manually. Precise Location information will be collected from the driver during your trip and linked to your account, even if you have disabled precise location services for your app.

You can always manage your location settings in your device’s location preferences under the Vesta Elder  Care app.

This data provides cities with information on where each Service starts, stops, and the route taken to reach the destination. None of the trip data we provide to cities is collected from your personal mobile device or directly identifies you, but the service data could be identifiable to you, with some effort. In such cases, we will inform you prior to the service taken.

Note: There are special circumstances, such as preventing fraud and responding to safety incidents, where Vesta Elder Care may collect background location for any service taken in the “While Using” setting. A notice would appear in such a case.
